  1. 01

    Primary auto liability

With the federal filing (MCS-90 / BMC-91X) that keeps your authority active.

  2. 02

    Motor truck cargo

The load you are hauling, if it is lost or damaged.

  3. 03

    Physical damage

    The tractor and trailer themselves.

  4. 04

    General liability

Claims that happen off the road: the dock, the yard, the shipper.

Watch for: A cancelled policy cancels the filing — and the truck stops.

What we write.

Most businesses need three of these. Some need all of them.Open a line for the part people tend to find out about at claim time.

  1. 01

    General liability

Injury and property damage you cause to other people.

What people missCompleted operations: the claim can come years after the job.

  2. 02

    Commercial auto

Vehicles used for the business, owned or titled to it.

What people missHired and non-owned: the employee's own car on a work errand.

  3. 03

    Workers' comp

Medical bills and lost wages when someone is hurt on the job.

What people missOwners can often include or exclude themselves. Choose on purpose.

  4. 04

What people missThe federal filing lives and dies with the policy.

  5. 05

    Contractors

The package a job site expects before you pull up.

What people missAdditional insured, waiver of subrogation, primary and non-contributory. Read the contract; it usually asks for all three.

  6. 06

    Commercial property

The building, the equipment and what is inside.

What people missBusiness income: the rent and payroll don't stop when the doors do.

  7. 07

    Umbrella

Higher limits stacked over liability and auto.

What people missIt only sits on top of what's underneath. Check the schedule.

What people missLoss of rents keeps the mortgage paid while the unit is down.

How it works

From first call to certificate.

Three steps, and you can do the first one from the job site. We handle the forms, the carriers and the fine print in between.

  1. 01Day one, about ten minutes

    Tell us about the business.

By phone or online. What you do, where you work, and who is asking you for proof of insurance. You don't need to know the coverage names; that part is ours.

  2. 02Usually one to three business days

    We shop A-rated carriers.

We take your account to more than one carrier and come back with a side-by-side: what's covered, what isn't, what it costs, and what we'd pick. In plain English.

  3. 03When you're ready

    You choose. We bind.

Once the policy is bound, your certificate of insurance goes out, usually the same day, with the additional insured and waiver wording your contract asks for.

Your client wants a certificate by noon. So do we.

Additional insured, waiver of subrogation, primary and non-contributory: we read what the contract asks for and issue the certificate to match. Clients send requests to certificates@commercialy.com.

A sample certificate of liability insurance showing additional insured and waiver of subrogation marked yes, stamped issued at 10:42 AM.

Why Commercialy

  • Turn most certificate requests around the same day.

We won't04

  • Sell you coverage you don't need.
  • Disappear after the policy is bound.

  • Quote one carrier and call it shopping.
